Study Abroad in Strasbourg, France------------------------------- Summer study abroad is a excellent opportunity to earn additional credit hours, improve language skills, and pursue a specific academic interest in depth. This summer the Office of International Programs will offer a wide variety of summer study abroad opportunities around the world. Where will you go? Join us for an informational meeting to learn more about Summer Study Abroad in Strasbourg, France on Wednesday, March 11 from 4 to 5 p.m. in the Office of International Programs in Laurel Hall. The French Language and Culture in Strasbourg program will offer participants an opportunity to explore Strasbourg and the Alsace region, famous for its wines, cheeses and stunning architecture. Strasbourg is the capital of the Alsace region and is also the seat of the Council of Europe and of the European Parliament. ------------------------------ Opportunities for travel to nearby European countries Situated within easy travel distance of Germany, Switzerland, and Belgium, Strasbourg has the cosmopolitan atmosphere and cultural excitement of a major European city. Designed for students at all levels of French language study, the four-week summer program is offered at the Université Marc Bloch in beautiful Strasbourg, France. ------------------------------ Language classes, cultural seminars, visits to museums & monuments Students will attend language classes every morning and participate in a variety of afternoon activities such as phonetics lab, cultural seminars, and guided visits to museums and monuments. In addition to weekday activities, students will have the opportunity to participate in weekend day trips to sites of interest in Strasbourg and the Alsace region. They will also have the opportunity to spend a weekend in Paris, visiting the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, and other sites of interest. All students will earn six hours of French credit for participation in this program. Students may earn credit at the beginning, intermediate, or advanced French levels.
