The inaugural CSU Alumni Media Festival is scheduled for September 17-19 at the Lory Student Center in Fort Collins.

It's hosted by the Department of Journalism and Technical Communication, the College of Liberal Arts, the Department of Communication Studies and the Rocky Mountain Student Media Corporation, and sponsored in part by a grant from the Lilla B. Morgan fund.

Alumni from any department at CSU can enter. There also are entry categories for faculty, staff and students.

Categories are available for writers, directors, producers, photographers, graphic artists, reporters, editors and on-camera talent in a variety of communication genres.

Because this event is designed as an alumni networking opportunity as well as a creative media festival, alumni are encouraged to attend whether submitting entries or not.

-Festivities begin with an alumni reception, Thursday, September 17 at 4:00 p.m.
-An opening presentation follows at 7:00 p.m. in the Lory Student Center Theater.
-Friday's daytime events include numerous panels with presentations by festival entrants.
-The presentation of grand prize winners follows Friday night in the Lory Student Center.
-Events conclude on Saturday, September 19 with a tailgate lunch (noon) at Hughes Stadium and an opportunity to see the CSU-Nevada football game at 3:00 pm.
