The concert features new works by James David performed by CSU faculty members and the CSU Percussion Ensemble: Peter Sommer, saxophone; Matthew Scheffelmann, horn; Joel Bacon, piano; Forest Greenhough, bass; Shilo Stroman, drums; and Eric Hollenbeck, director. Each work is written for remarkably different forces with diverse inspirations including allusions to John Coltrane, heavy metal, East African folk music, Led Zeppelin, and Hungarian composer György Ligeti.
