As part of their region-wide tour, Portland Taiko will be making a stop at our beautiful CSU campus.

For those of you that are unfamiliar with Taiko, it is an ancient form of oriental drumming that found its roots in classical Japanese theater and ritual. The Portland Taiko group has received praise from various prestigious publications, including The Washington Post. The energy that they bring to each and every performance rivals that of such Vegas shows as Blue Man Group and Cirque de' Solei.

Event is free

Every time they take the stage it is a unique experience to the audience as well as themselves. Portland Taiko has been generous enough to open their doors to the public for this one time only show free of charge.

This is a great opportunity for CSU students and faculty, as well as all members of the Fort Collins community to come and enjoy a glimpse into traditional Japanese culture and music.
