Free Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event

Parking lot on corner of College Ave. and Lake St., entrance off of Lake Street

The City of Fort Collins is offering a Free Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day to residents. Residents can drop off unused or unwanted:

• paint
• automotive products
• cleaning/household chemicals
• pool/spa products
• pesticides/herbicides
• household batteries (not car batteries!), and 
• mercury switches (thermostats).

The City of Fort Collins is dedicated to Environmental Stewardship and wants to keep these hazardous materials out of the landfill and dispose of them properly.

Mix Paints, a company out of Denver, will be recycling a portion of the useable latex paint collected into new interior and exterior paint for residential and commercial use.
