Second Annual Equine Symposium

The Colorado State University Student Chapter of the AAEP is pleased to announce CSU's Second Annual Equine Symposium!

This two-day set of lectures, including case discussions and an optional wetlab, provides an educational opportunity for both the seasoned equine veterinarian and the doctors soon to be! 

Topics include:

  • In-depth set of lectures on the anatomy, imaging techniques, dentistry, and surgical approaches to the head.
  • Optional wet lab, where practitioners can practice the surgical approaches and dentistry methods that were presented earlier, or interactive case discussions in equine reproduction, surgery, and sports medicine. 
  • Equine Field and Alternative Medicine and Rehabilitation including equine ambulatory medicine, emergency fluid therapy, ophthalmology, wound management, rehabilitation techniques and equine acupuncture.
  • Internship/externship pannel where clinicians can interact with and give advice to future veterinarians
  • Keynote address and dinner with margaritas at the Rio Grande Mexican Restaurant 

Proceeds from this event will go towards purchasing educational tools to make our equine veterinary students as prepared as possible for the industry upon graduation.

Early Registration beginning January 1, 2013:

  • DVM: $175.00
  • Veterinary Students: $35.00

Registration beginning January 31, 2013:

  • DVM: $235.00
  • Veterinary Students: $50.00
