"Backyard Abolitionist Tour"
Not For Sale is an international anti-human-trafficking organization, and David Batstone is the founder of Not For Sale. He is a passionate social justice advocate who does presentations around the country. In his book, Not for Sale, Award-winning journalist Batstone reveals the story of a new generation of 21st century abolitionists and their heroic campaign to put an end to human bondage. In this accessible and inspiring book, he carefully weaves the narratives of activists and those in bondage in a way that not only raises awareness of the modern-day slave trade, but also serves as a call to action. (Review by Amazon.com) (At right: Batstone's book, Not for Sale) ------------------------------ Batstone and Christopher perform a "movie on stage" It is an honor to hear him speak, and we have the privilege to bring him to our campus! He and Brant Christopher, a musical artist that uses his musical talent to advocate for social justice as well, perform what is known as a "movie on stage" because of its outrageous dynamic quality. They will promote awareness and action for the anti-human trafficking movement and push you forward in your desire to make a difference. And the best part....it's free! Come join us. ------------------------------ Event Contact: Brittany Manning can be reached at (480) 540-0001 Sponsored by the CSU student organization, Not For Sale CSU. |
