Secret Ingredient Dining Series: Loving Legumes

The star of this class will be a member of the "legume" family as we continue our popular "Secret Ingredient Dining Series." You’ll have to attend to find out which legume we select!

If you like the Iron Chef program, you will love this new dining series. Culinary director and registered dietitian Michelle Manson will share her creative skills for turning her favorite foods into amazing recipes you can copy at home.

Legumes are nutrient powerhouses, budget friendly and a great meat substitute.

Known for their high protein and fiber content, these nutrient powerhouses are also budget-friendly and a great meat substitute!

As always, you’ll sample several tasty dishes and also learn strategies to save preparation time and improve digestion. You'll go home with recipes, nutrition handouts, and tips to share with family and friends.

When: Friday, Nov. 11, noon-1 p.m. with additional optional Q&A from 1 to 1:30 p.m.

Location: Kendall Anderson Nutrition Center, Room 114, Gifford Building  

Cost: $20 ($10 for current CSU employee), includes recipes, education materials and lunch

Open to the public. Presented by culinary experts and registered dietitians.

If you register for all four classes and pay in advance, the total cost is just $68, a 15 percent discount from individually-priced classes.
