Great School Escape Great School Escape-Tree-mendous Fun! As a staff, we feel that compared to animals, trees don't receive much love. So, we will spend the whole day learning about our woody friends that reside at the ELC. We'll answer such questions as - How does a Cottonwood drink water? What is the difference between a Boxwood and an Alder? What type of tree makes the best squirrel home? - and many more. This event will be at the Environmental Learning Center, Drake site. Directions and map: Head east on Drake Road. Approximately one mile after passing the intersection at Timberline, turn left on Environmental Drive. The road will cross a one-lane bridge and turn sharply to the south. Before making the sharp turn south, take a sharp left on the gravel road (you will see the ELC sign), crossing the railroad tracks. Programs meet in the parking lot. AdmissionKindergarten through 5th grades are welcome.
