Aconcagua Mountaineering Expedition Info Meeting
Join the Outdoor Adventure Program over Winter Break 2006 in an attempt to summit the highest peak in the Western Hemisphere, Aconcagua.
Expedition Informational Meeting: Thursday, Aug. 31, 12-1 p.m., Lory Student Center, Room 224-26.
Meet the leaders to learn more about joining this high altitude adventure. There will also be a chance to meet other expedition members. CSU students, faculty, staff and community members welcome.
Remaining space is limited! Apply today at: http://campusrec.colostate.edu/default.cfm?goto=Home.
This expedition will ascend via the seldom used Guanacos Valley route up the peak. At 22,840 feet Aconcagua is the highest peak in the Western Hemisphere, in fact, it is the highest peak outside of Asia!
Our expedition is designed to train you in expedition planning, group dynamics, as well as provide you with a unique opportunity to "test your limits." The experienced mountaineering leaders are CSU staff members with a proven record of summiting peaks with students. This is the best opportunity to climb on one of the Seven Summits!
If you are at all serious about this expedition we urge you to apply ASAP as remaining spaces are limited.
