Diversity in the Arab World

Professor Mohammed Hirchi from the Dept. of Foreign Languages & Literatures will present Diversity in the Arab World.

Many Americans have a certain image of "Arabs" in their minds, an image gleaned from television news and Hollywood films. This presentation will help participants look beyond stereotypes to gain a better appreciation of the diversity of the Arab World.

Dr. Hirchi will show that Arabs represent various "races," represent only a portion of the world's Muslims, and inhabit more than 22 countries in the Middle East and Africa.

Location:  North Ballroom, Lory Student Center
